Taunton School's First Luxury Ladies Evening Raises £800 for Charity

16 Jun 2008

Taunton School's first Luxury Ladies Evening saw 500 ladies from the local community treated to a night of indulgence on Saturday 7th June.
The evening was held in memory of local man Adam Chorley, 'the amazing person' who died recently of a brain tumour, leaving behind his wife Sarah and young family.

The evening was organised by Taunton School and Sarah Chorley to raise funds for the “Hammer Out” charity. A raffle and donations raised a brilliant £800 for the charity, which raises awareness and funds research to support people with brain tumours.

Sponsored by the School and hosted in their stunning Old Library and Arts Centre Complex, guests were greeted with a glass of Pimms and invited to browse and sample a variety of local products and services from eyelash extensions to Thai Food. Live jazz from Rob Koral and Zoe Schwarz entertained the ladies throughout the night.

Sarah has already organised a further Hammer Out Charity event, a September evening dinner sponsored by Taunton School. Following last Saturday's success, Taunton School is already planning the next Luxury Ladies Night.
