We expect our staff to look after you, so we make sure we look after them.
To us our staff are more than just employees and without them Lionheart would not be where it is today. We insist on providing a brilliant service to our clients and we believe that the best way to get them to deliver this to you is to mirror this in the way we treat them.
We’re not just talking about remembering to say ‘thank you’ or ‘well done’ when they’ve done a great job, we put our money where our mouth is too. The Lion’s Share is our profit sharing scheme through which we distribute a percentage of our net profits to all staff, regardless of their role in the business, from Junior Designer to Director.
We also recognise that the people who work at Lionheart spend the best part of their day here, so we have given them the opportunity to suggest ways in which we can improve the working environment and conditions. The Wellbeing Committee, which consists of people throughout the business with the exception of Directors, meets regularly to come up with suggestions to do just that. Here are a few that we have already implemented:
Let them eat cake. Now we’re not suggesting for one minute that we eat copious amounts of cake, well not every day anyway, but in the interests of a more balanced and healthy diet we now buy a table full of fruit every week. Next time you visit, be sure to pick up an apple or even a pomegranate.
It’s good to talk. It’s easy to spend the working week with your head down, getting on with the job. Our Friday coffee mornings (often with cake – the fruit’s all gone by then) are a chance for everyone to share what they’ve been up to during the week and to hear about new initiatives and opportunities that we are pursuing.
Can you kick it? Now you might think we’ve got Table Football simply because it’s the sort of thing a business like ours should have. In fact, although clients are very welcome to, and often do, challenge us to game when they visit, it’s something our staff asked for. We were happy to oblige and it’s been a huge hit too.
All work and no play… It’s a wonder that there are any of us left as it seems dangerous sports are the activity of choice for our boys and girls. Quad biking, archery, paintball and go-karting are among some of the adrenaline pumping experiences we’ve all enjoyed.
